Job Type: Full Time | 1 Year Contract (Extension upto 5 years)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, plus shared on-call rotation
Compensation: $181–$201/hour, based on experience and certifications
StafinGo is seeking a Nephrology Physician to provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient nephrology care at a medical centre in Huntington, West Virginia. The physician will care for Veterans with a range of kidney-related conditions and provide oversight of dialysis and other kidney replacement therapies.
The position includes regular onsite clinic hours along with participation in a shared 24/7/365 on-call rotation among 2–3 credentialed physicians.
Key Responsibilities

Diagnose and manage acute kidney injury (AKI), chronic kidney disease (CKD), and end-stage kidney disease (ESKD).

Manage fluid and electrolyte disorders and hypertension.

Evaluate and treat nephrolithiasis and kidney transplant patients.

Provide medical oversight of:
-
Hemodialysis
-
Peritoneal dialysis
-
Continuous kidney replacement therapy (CRRT)

Other kidney replacement therapies
-
Manage vascular access and related procedural complications.

Perform central and femoral venous dialysis catheter placement when required.

Perform percutaneous kidney biopsies as needed.
-
Provide bedside consultations for non-ambulatory inpatients.
-
Complete outpatient nephrology consultations within 30 days of the request.

Evaluate and manage extracorporeal treatments for poisonings and intoxications.

Chair the monthly Dialysis Committee and attend staff meetings.

Participate in ongoing quality improvement activities.

Maintain accurate documentation in the VA electronic health record (CPRS).
Schedule & On-Call
-
Regular hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, onsite.

Weeknight on-call: Monday–Friday, 4:30 PM–8:00 AM.

Weekend on-call: Friday, 4:30 PM through Monday, 8:00 AM.

Holiday coverage: Full-day coverage on facility holidays.

On-call responsibilities are shared among 2–3 credentialed physicians.

The on-call physician must be available by phone within 15 minutes and report onsite within 60 minutes if called back.
Requirements

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Nephrology.

Certification through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine (AOBIM).

Current, full, and unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.

Current DEA registration.

Valid National Provider Identifier (NPI).

Ability to obtain and maintain required VA credentialing and clinical privileges.

Experience with nephrology clinical care, dialysis management, kidney replacement therapies, and related procedures.

Ability to use electronic health records, including CPRS or similar systems.
